Just a few hours travel from Europe, Morocco is a culture and many worlds away…perfect for an adventure holiday! Your senses come alive as you arrive in Marrakech and begin this hotel based adventure holiday. Throughout the week you will experience the highlights of this region of Morocco: the Gorge du Dades, Todra Gorge with it's 300m high gorge walls, camel trekking and a Berber camp in the Sahara and a visit to Ait Benhaddou's famous Kasbah. As if that wasn’t enough your holiday finishes with a tour of Marrakech..
Day 1: Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco! You arrive in Marrakech and, after a short transfer from the airport, spend the first night in a hotel in the centre of town and meet your fellow travellers at a pre-departure meeting at 6:00pm. (Dinner and
overnight - Marrakech)
Day 2 : Gorge du dades
Leaving Marrakech, we venture through the Gorges du Dades, a stunning valley which extends from the High Atlas to the Jebel Saghrou range in the south. Berbers built many kasbahs in the vicinity of gorges for defence purposes and these, combined with the area’s natural beauty make this a fitting start to your adventure. (Breakfast,
lunch, dinner and overnight - Gorge du Dades)
Day 3: Todra Gorge
Discover the charm of Todra as you explore the Gorge, from its plunging depths to its 1000 foot high cliffs. Witness its changing colours as the sun slowly moves from east to west. Feeling lazy? No problem - just chill out for the day! (Breakfast,
lunch, dinner and overnight - Todra Gorge)
Day 4: Sahara Desert - Berber Camp
Crossing the Jebel Saghrou, we head down to Erg Chebbi where sand dunes signify the start of the mighty Sahara Desert. We leave our vehicle and take a camel trek into the desert to a Berber camp, enjoying local food and a night under the Saharan stars. To seal this as an experience of a life time, why not surf the Sahara Desert and try Dune Boarding!
Day 5: Ouarzazate
We leave the Sahara Desert and continue the adventure through the Draa Valley along the route of 1000 Kasbahs, a beautiful landscape. We continue on to Ouarzazate, which African traders once used on their journeys up to Europe. Its appeal is best conveyed by the fact that it has been used as a film set so many times - Alexander the Great, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights. Day 6: Aït Benhaddou
On a hill along the Ouarzazate River we find Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city', situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it boasts great examples of kasbahs some of which remain inhabited. This site too has been the setting for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. We then travel over the High Atlas mountains on our way to Marrakech. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight

Days 7: Marrakech
Glowing red, like a welcoming campfire, against the snow capped High Atlas Mountains, the very name Marrakech conjures up images of a mysterious, distant city, of magic carpets and snake charmers and frankincense and myrrh brought in by camel trains. You can explore the medina with its rose-coloured walls and tangle of winding streets and bustling souks. The focal point is the central square, the Djemâa-el-Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place, full of colour, spicy aromas and traders. It is best seen in the evening when overflowing with food stalls, dancers, acrobats, fortune tellers, musicians and henna artists – a great place to practice your bargaining skills! Towering over all this is the Koutoubia mosque, the tallest building in the city, and a reminder of the importance of Islam to the lives of the city's residents. Try a traditional hamman, a steam bath followed by an exfoliating massage - its the ideal end to the day as your adventure holiday comes to an end. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight - Marrakech)
Day 8: Marrakech
The adventure holiday ends after breakfast
